About the County Budget

The Caldwell County budget is adopted annually by Commissioners Court and covers the county's fiscal year (October 1 – September 30). The County Auditor prepares and the Commissioners Court approves the budget after one or more public hearings. All adopted and historical budget documents are posted below for public inspection in compliance with Texas Local Government Code Chapter 111.

How to participate

Public hearings on the proposed budget are announced in the Commissioners Court agenda. Members of the public may speak during the citizen-comment portion of any meeting or in writing prior to adoption.
