About the Extension Service
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is the educational outreach arm of The Texas A&M University System. Through a partnership with Caldwell County Commissioners Court, the Extension Office brings University research directly to Caldwell County residents — at no cost to the participant — on topics that touch nearly every household.
Extension agents work locally to deliver programs in four core areas: 4-H & Youth Development, Agriculture & Natural Resources, Family & Community Health, and Horticulture. The office also coordinates the Master Gardener and Master Naturalist volunteer programs.
Program Areas
4-H & Youth Development
Hands-on, project-based learning for youth ages 8–18. Members participate in livestock, food & nutrition, robotics, leadership, public speaking, shooting sports, and more. New members welcome any time.
